Terms of Service
These terms describe the general conditions that apply when requesting or purchasing services from Andrew Soel d/b/a Soel Consulting d/b/a Soel Travel.
Effective: September 8, 2026
1. Scope of services
Andrew Soel, doing business as Soel Consulting and Soel Travel (“Soel Travel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides travel planning, coordination and advisory services. Services may include researching and arranging air travel, lodging, ground transportation and related travel components, as well as itinerary and group-travel coordination.
The precise scope of work may vary by engagement and may be described in a proposal, email, invoice, itinerary or other written communication.
2. Travel suppliers and intermediaries
Travel services such as flights, hotels, transportation and other components are provided by independent third-party suppliers. Soel Travel acts as an advisor and intermediary in arranging those services and does not own, operate or control the airlines, hotels, transportation companies or other suppliers that ultimately provide them.
Bookings may also be fulfilled through a host agency, ticketing provider, reservation platform or other travel-industry intermediary. Additional disclosures or terms required by those parties will apply when provided.
3. Quotes, fares and availability
Unless expressly stated otherwise, quotes are informational and subject to change until a reservation is confirmed and, where applicable, ticketed. Airline fares, hotel rates, taxes, fees, inventory and supplier rules may change without notice.
A reservation record or itinerary request is not necessarily proof that an airline ticket has been issued. When air travel is purchased, clients should review the final confirmation and ticket information promptly.
4. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for reviewing all names, dates, destinations, routing, room information and other booking details before purchase and again upon receipt of confirmations. Traveler names must match the identification or travel document that will be used for the trip.
Clients are also responsible for communicating material traveler needs and for providing complete and accurate information within requested deadlines.
5. Payments and professional fees
Travel supplier charges and Soel Travel professional or planning fees may be separate. Any professional fee applicable to a service will be disclosed before the fee is charged or before the related work is undertaken where reasonably practicable.
Supplier payments are subject to the supplier’s payment and cancellation rules. Clients should not send payment card information through ordinary email or the public website unless specifically directed to an approved secure method.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, professional fees compensate Soel Travel for advisory, planning, ticketing, coordination or change-management work and may be nonrefundable once the associated work has been performed.
6. Changes, cancellations, refunds and exchanges
Changes and cancellations are governed by the applicable airline, hotel or other supplier rules. Supplier penalties, fare differences, nonrefundable amounts and other charges may apply. Soel Travel may also charge a disclosed professional fee for exchanges, reissues, cancellations or other post-booking work.
Refund timing is controlled largely by the supplier or payment processor. Soel Travel cannot guarantee when an eligible supplier refund will be received.
7. Group travel
Group travel may involve deposits, minimum traveler counts, rooming-list deadlines, name deadlines, attrition, cancellation schedules, contract terms or other requirements that differ from ordinary individual bookings. Those requirements will be communicated when applicable and may be governed by separate supplier or group agreements.
The client or designated group organizer is responsible for providing accurate traveler information, approvals and decisions by the stated deadlines. Delays may affect price, availability or the ability to keep previously quoted arrangements.
8. Passports, visas and entry requirements
Each traveler is responsible for ensuring that they possess the passports, visas, permits, identification and other documents required for the trip, including any applicable transit, health or entry requirements. Requirements can vary by nationality, destination, routing and traveler circumstances.
Information provided by Soel Travel regarding travel requirements is general assistance and should be independently verified with the relevant government or official authority before travel.
9. Travel protection
Travel insurance or other travel-protection products may help address certain risks associated with cancellation, interruption, medical events, baggage issues or other disruptions. Coverage varies by policy. Clients are responsible for reviewing any offered policy and deciding whether it is appropriate for their needs.
10. Schedule changes, delays and force majeure
Airline schedules, hotel operations and other travel services may change after booking. Weather, labor actions, government actions, mechanical issues, public-health events, natural disasters and other events outside Soel Travel’s control may disrupt travel.
Soel Travel may assist with available alternatives where engaged to do so, but cannot guarantee that suppliers will provide a particular accommodation, refund, replacement service or outcome.
11. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Soel Travel is not responsible for the acts, omissions, insolvency, schedule changes, service failures, personal injuries, property loss or other conduct of independent travel suppliers or other third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
12. Electronic communications and approvals
Clients authorize routine communication by email, telephone and other agreed electronic methods. Written approvals, including approvals sent electronically, may be relied upon when making reservations or carrying out requested changes.
Clients should notify Soel Travel promptly if contact information changes or if a confirmation contains an error.
13. Governing law
Except where another law must apply, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version applicable to a particular engagement will generally be the version in effect when the relevant service is requested or as otherwise agreed in writing.
